Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MC NovaTools handles data for a browser-first utility platform where files and pasted inputs are intended to stay local whenever a tool can run safely in the browser.

Last updated: 2026-06-03

Scope and controller

This policy applies to mc-novatools.com, including PDF tools, image tools, developer utilities, finance calculators, text tools, category pages, blog guides, contact pages, and legal pages. MC NovaTools is the site operator for purposes of this policy. Contact: [email protected].

The most important privacy design choice is that many utilities are browser-first. When a PDF, image, text snippet, JSON sample, URL, or calculator input can be processed locally, MC NovaTools is designed not to intentionally upload that working material to a NovaTools server. Your browser may still use memory, temporary object URLs, downloads, localStorage, or cache to complete a task. You remain responsible for checking whether a specific page requests live data, advertising resources, analytics scripts, fonts, or other third-party assets.

Data we may process

We may process technical data such as page URLs, device and browser information, approximate region derived from IP address by service providers, consent choices, language preference, theme preference, error context, and aggregated usage events. If you contact us, we process the name, email address, subject, message content, and any non-sensitive files or examples you choose to provide.

Tool inputs are different from site telemetry. The platform is built so routine file contents and pasted tool inputs are handled in the browser whenever practical. We do not intentionally collect uploaded copies of your PDFs, images, spreadsheet text, private keys, financial records, or source snippets through the static utility interface. Do not paste secrets into any online tool unless you have confirmed the workflow is appropriate for that data.

localStorage and browser storage

MC NovaTools may use localStorage or similar browser storage for preferences such as language, theme, consent settings, recently selected options, temporary interface state, and tool convenience settings. This storage is on your device and can be cleared through your browser. Some tools may also create downloadable files, object URLs, or temporary in-memory data while a task is running.

Because localStorage persists until cleared, do not use shared or public computers for sensitive workflows without clearing site data afterward. MC NovaTools does not use localStorage to create hidden profiles of document contents. Browser storage is used to keep the interface usable, remember choices, and respect consent.

Google AdSense, Google Analytics and cookies

MC NovaTools may use Google AdSense to support the free tool platform. AdSense and related Google advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies for ad serving, frequency capping, fraud prevention, measurement, and, where permitted by your choices and law, personalization. Google explains advertising cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and general cookie use at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.

MC NovaTools may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate page performance, route usage, device categories, and content quality. Analytics is not intended to receive names, emails, passwords, private document contents, financial account numbers, health details, or other personally identifiable information typed into tools. Google’s Analytics privacy disclosures are available at support.google.com/analytics/answer/7318509, and Google publishes additional information about Analytics data safeguards at support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.

Where a consent banner is shown, optional analytics and advertising storage should follow the choices available in that interface. Essential storage may still be used for security, consent, language, accessibility, and basic site operation. You can also manage cookies through your browser, Google ad settings, and regional advertising choice tools.

Data retention

Browser-side tool inputs are not intentionally retained by MC NovaTools after local processing because they are not designed to be uploaded to us in the first place. Preference data in your browser remains until you clear it or the site changes the storage key. Contact emails are retained only as long as needed to respond, maintain records of corrections or security reports, resolve disputes, comply with legal duties, or protect the service.

Aggregated analytics and advertising reports may be retained by the relevant providers according to their settings and policies. MC NovaTools reviews retention with minimization in mind and avoids keeping identifiable support material when a synthetic bug example is enough.

GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and user rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit use of sensitive personal information. MC NovaTools does not sell contact messages or tool inputs. Advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” under some privacy laws, and consent or browser controls may be available depending on your region.

To exercise rights, email [email protected] with the request type and enough information to verify that the request relates to you. We may ask for clarification if a request concerns browser storage we cannot see from our side. You can clear localStorage, cookies, and cached files directly in your browser at any time.

Children, security and changes

MC NovaTools is not directed to children under 13 and should not be used by children to submit personal information. Security measures include a static-site architecture for many pages, browser-first processing, HTTPS deployment expectations, careful dependency use, and avoidance of unnecessary server-side file handling. No website can guarantee perfect security, so sensitive files should be handled with appropriate professional controls.

This policy may be updated when tools, advertising configuration, analytics configuration, legal requirements, or contact workflows change. The date at the top of the page shows the latest revision. Material changes should be written in plain language so users can understand the practical effect.
